Because he could really, really use such a sweet and effective distraction.

"That depends on whether you care about Trevor potentially knocking on the door midway."

"I don't care about that at all."

He leans forward to kiss him, to hold him, to simply appreciate everything that he's done. In a few days, he can thank him with words. Right now, with all that's still in his head, he's unable to form them. He's simply grateful to have him.
