"You forget that I have my shift," he points out, "and we have quite a lot of things to catalog given the port. I am sure your back hasn't forgotten, givne the complaining you did."
He shakes his head. "You can have your shift, but I'm coming back here. Give my back a break."
He laughs it off, rolling his shoulders. He's not afraid of Hilbert specifically, but there's something about waking up in the state that he was, seeing what he did - he doesn't want to go out and about. He's never had a place to go when bad shit happened in his life. Now he does, and he finds himself wanting to retreat to it.
"Then I will return here as soon as my shift is done. Or, perhaps, she will allow me to take some of my cataloging to my room with me, given the situation."
"Don't tell me what to do with our space," he huffs, but he'll sip his tea, "and I would not 'clutter' anything. The most there would be would be a single stack of DVD cases. And the chance to watch a number of movies."
"I think its entirely reasonable," and he's letting his temper go up, purely for Johann's amusement, really, but also because it's entirely reasonable. "Besides, I also need to catalog some more cooking reality shows. I thought you'd enjoy that."
"I make no such promises," he says, finishing his cup as much as he wants, which was only a few small sips. He's still not feeling back to himself, but it helps to pretend and fall into a familiar routine.
"But I do realize that any illness you encounter is still my responsibility to soothe, so - " He grins. "I suppose you must rely on the fact that I do not wish to punish myself."
"You also weigh far too much for how gangly you are, sweet goddess," but his pushing and shoving is much more like cuddling and there's a few kisses in with the complaints.

He picks up his wrist and kisses it. "Besides, you can always get better with your hands."

He knows perfectly well not like that. But he's being an ass right now.

"I am how the goddess made me! I can't help that she wanted me to be like that," he teases.

But he's not really being suffocated. He's just shoving him to be difficult now.

He ignores all that shoving, making himself quite comfortable.
